Leichhardt House - Transportable Inner West
Leichhardt House
This house was initially designed as an alterations and additions project to an existing timber framed cottage. It had some home-handyman additions to the rear and the plan was to remove these an add to the original. The cost of this came in quite high so the clients decided to have a go at a knock down and installation of a custom designed pre-fabricated dwelling with heaps more amenity that the original design.
The house was design and approved for construction. Parkwood Homes prefabricated, installed and supplied the finishing trades.
The construction off site was approximately 5 months. The installation was less than a day (the crane had gone by lunchtime). The finishing trades completed the project over 6 weeks.
